
Toby Li
Toby is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner, acupuncturist, and Tuina therapist in New Zealand. He holds a Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and served as an Associate Chief TCM Physician in China. Toby worked at Taishan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital for one year and then at the TCM Department of the Yuebei People's Hospital, a Grade A tertiary hospital, for 14 years. In 2019, he was recognized as one of the top 10 doctors at Yuebei People's Hospital. He specializes in using a combination of soft tissue injury manual therapy, acupuncture (including navel acupuncture), Long's Spinal Manipulation Therapy (Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment), Tuina(Message), and Assisted Stretching to treat various pain conditions such as neck, shoulder, back, and leg pain and sports-related strains. Additionally, he provides guidance on sports rehabilitation to enhance long-term therapeutic effects and reduce the risk of recurrent injuries and strain.
In addition to treating various pain conditions, Toby is also skilled in treating a wide range of internal medicine conditions, particularly common colds, coughs, asthma, pollen allergies, dizziness, headaches, and gastrointestinal disorders. He also has extensive experience in treating gynecological and pediatric diseases, as well as in physical constitution adjustment. Toby is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, and English, enabling him to communicate effectively with patients from diverse linguistic backgrounds and provide personalized treatment services.
